Icheon Ceramics Festival
Icheon has been a center of ceramics and pottery ever since the Bronze Age. In 2010, it was designated as a “City of Crafts and Folk Art,” part of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. During the festival, visitors can see a wide range of some of the finest ceramic art in the world, such as celadon porcelain, or cheongja, white porcelain, or baekja, and grayish-blue powdered celadon, or buncheongsagi. The festival is also Korea’s largest ceramics and pottery festival.
