An international flower exhibition, the International Horticulture Goyang Korea festival, has attracted over 5.7 million visitors since its launch in 1997. It’s now considered to be Korea’s representative international flower show.
The royal palaces of the Joseon Dynasty are being opened wide to the public in this spring of 2016, with a variety of educational and experience programs. Marking its second year, the Royal Palace Festival draws on the spirit of the Joseon palaces and their time-honored history to creatively reinterpret royal culture for enjoyment today.
The Taean Tulip Festival opens this year under the theme of “The Garden of Artists.” At the festival, images of well-known figures, such as Mona Lisa and Marilyn Monroe, will be created with tulips, and LEDs will shine a different light on the flower garden after sunset.
