Seoul Kimchi Festival
The biggest kimchi festival in the world will be held in downtown Seoul to celebrate kimjang, the seasonal period of kimchi-making that has been designated as a UNEXCO Intangible Cultural Heritage item.
During the kimjang kimchi festival, participants can take part in a mass kimchi-making that will all be donated to charities and learn how to make their own kimchi from a true kimchi master.
There will also be actors giving little performances that introduce the main kimchi ingredients to visitors throughout the festival.
At the kimchi market, various types of kimchi from different parts of the country will be on sale. There will be food trucks selling snacks made with kimchi, a traditional food store that sells kimchi and traditional makgeolli rice beer, and a food court where you can get items that go well with kimchi, all to help with your kimchi mania~
