The 2015 Jara Island Fireworks Festival
In May, the largest fireworks festival in Korea will be held in Gapyeong Jara Island. Everyone will be able to enjoy the festival through performances and camping activities.
Gapyeong Jara Island is well known for its restful, spacious camping area with beautiful landscape. In 2012, Jara Island, the “Island of Fantasy,” was selected among the top three vacation getaway destinations in Korea. This beautiful island attracts numerous tourists as it became more accessible through the opening of the ITX-Cheongchun train (only an hour trip from Seoul). The 2014 Jara Island Fireworks Festival will showcase dazzling fireworks, non-verbal performances and camping zone.
‘Key performance & Xtreme Zone’ in Main Island
You can experience and expand your horizon through Xtreme activities such as hot-air balloons, rock climbing, and bungy-jumping. Each night the festival will feature one of the world’s best firework shows, and fantastic performances will include Gyeonggi Provincial Dance Company, Moon Yeong-Chul’s ballet poema, and B-boy dancing. At the barbeque party, you can indulge yourself with perfectly grilled barbeque with live performances.
Camping Zone in the West Island
We have created a camping zone in the West Island of Jara for families and couples wishing to enjoy the Jara Island Fireworks Festival in style. With the capacity of 1,000 people, the camping zone has 293 posts, including auto-camping and caravans.

Operating Hours: Main Island 11:00 am ~ 10:00 pm
(Main performances 7:30 pm ~ 9:00 pm)/West Island 1:00 pm ~ 10:00 pm
Tickets: R-seat50,000 won, S-seat 40,000 won, lawn seat (non-assigned seating) 30,000 won
Camping package (performance tickets included): Package for two – 90,000 won, Package for three 120,000 won, Package for four – 150,000 won
